Carrots

Worked as a Motion Designer at Carrots, creating social media ads and App Store preview videos for the company's apps. I also developed AI influencers and produced organic AI-generated content to support future product marketing.

ROLE

Motion Designer

Appstore Screenshot Video

Created an App Store preview video for Gala, working closely with the product team to ensure it aligned with the brand, accurately represented the app, and complied with App Store requirements.

A little research

I started by researching how leading AI photo apps like Remini, FaceApp, Meitu, and Kling AI approached their App Store preview videos. While each had its own style, they all shared a common structure. They introduced features one at a time, guiding users through the app step-by-step, and using simple overlays and pacing to make the experience easy to follow. Those insights helped shape Gala's preview while keeping it true to the product and its brand.

The App Store Said "No."

After Apple rejected the initial submission because it included footage beyond the app interface, I reworked the video through multiple iterations, finding ways to keep it visually engaging while using only in-app screen recordings. It was a great lesson in designing within strict platform guidelines without losing the story.

Meta Ads

A series of Meta ads I created for Cleanie and Gala, informed by competitive research. As AI-generated content became more prominent, I used Freepik (now Magnific) to create campaign assets.

Hackathon App Video

The team conducted a hackathon over a few days. The product team was tasked with creating a working app in 2 days and it was my job to create promotional video demonstrating how the new app works.

AI Influencers

Created and managed AI influencers for the company, producing and editing organic AI-generated content while managing their social media presence. The goal was to establish digital creators that could later promote the Carrot app portfolio.

Vlog Graphics

I occasionally designed motion graphics for the company's vlog content, adapting my style to fit the brand's bold, energetic identity. It was a chance to switch gears from product marketing while ensuring every graphic still felt unmistakably on-brand.
